How it works

Need an image under 100 KB?

Some application forms and upload portals set small limits. Choose the limit they give you, then download a smaller JPG, PNG, or WebP without sending the file anywhere.

01

Choose a file

Drop in a JPG, PNG, or WebP image. The file is read locally.

02

Set the limit

Choose 20 KB, 50 KB, 100 KB, 150 KB, 200 KB, or 300 KB. You can also enter your own size.

03

Download the result

Check the preview and download a copy that is at or below the limit.

Private by default

Your image never leaves this device. There is no upload step.

Clear result

See the old size, new size, dimensions, and reduction before you save.

Works in the browser

No install. No account. Use it on a phone or computer.

FAQ

Questions, answered.

How do I compress an image to 100 KB?

Choose an image, select 100 KB (or enter another limit), then click Compress image. The tool adjusts the image until it reaches a usable result at or below your limit.

Can I compress a JPG, PNG, or WebP to 100 KB?

Yes. JPG, PNG, and WebP files are supported. Same as input is selected by default, or you can choose JPEG, WebP, or PNG yourself.

Does this image compressor upload my file?

No. The file is read and processed in your browser. It is not sent to a server.

Will the output be exactly 100 KB?

Not necessarily. The tool aims for the best image it can make at or below your limit, so the final byte count can be a little lower than the number you enter.

What if 100 KB is too small?

The tool reduces the image dimensions as well as the encoding quality. If the limit still cannot be reached without making the image unusable, it will tell you to try a larger limit.
