FAQ

Questions, answered.

How do I compress a PNG to 100 KB?

Choose a JPG, PNG, or WebP image, keep the 100 KB target, and click Compress image. The output matches the input format by default, and the tool reduces dimensions as needed to reach the limit.

Will the output stay PNG?

For a PNG upload, PNG is selected by default. JPG and WebP uploads start in their original format too; you can choose another format when your destination accepts it.

Can a PNG be compressed to exactly 100 KB?

The tool targets 100 KB or less; it does not pad the result to an exact byte count. The final file may be smaller.

Does my image upload?

No. The image is read and processed in your browser. It is not sent to a server.
